In Search of Skincare Bargains

I cannot find a simple to use chart comparing drug store brands of hand and body skin cream.

I am 41, aging, a little wrinkled and getting dry skin .... I cannot afford expensive little bottles of magic. The internet offers individual reviews - just too tiring and time consuming to read them all.

I need to find a better consumer review chart ... (even consumer reviews didn't have what I need).

Maybe you can help?

Coincidentally I just wrote an article about finding skin care bargains at your drugstore.

I've already compared CVS' Preventin-AT to StriVectin-SD.

I love your idea of a chart and will give that some thought. My concern is that it would be difficult to keep up to date.

I had the idea to do a "Splurge vs. Steal" type of article or weekly column, where for example StriVectin would be the splurge and Preventin the steal. What do you think?

I am just not that into girl stuff and all the technical mumbo jumbo which I don't even know who to believe about.

I see regular hand and body lotion stuff on the shelves and truly don't know if anything is better than the other.

I do note however that my grandma used Olay as long as it was on the market and at age 85 passed away with the softest skin in the world and minimum wrinkles... that being said I wonder now why I don't just follow her foot steps.

Now then there is my body... so I need something cheaper to work with because more of it will be used daily.

I just want to add that Olay has excellent products. I highly recommend the Regenerist, Total Effects and Definity lines for older or dry skin.

As for the body, I have a friend in his 70s who swears by Lubriderm Intense Skin Repair Body Lotion with Itch Relief.

He says it truly moisturizes for 24 hours, keeps his skin soft and helps heal any abrasions quickly.
