What’s in your Makeup Case?

I’ll show you mine. Will you show me yours?

Here’s what’s in my morning makeup case as of today: all my current faves, plus things I’m trying to use up.

I also wanted to show you the case itself, because it is just the coolest one I’ve ever found.

I got it at Target but it has no label so that’s all I can tell you.

What’s really cool about it is that it neatly stashes out of sight in the under-sink counter. In the morning, all I do is set it out.

Everything I need is, not only at my fingertips, but also in logical order.

It makes putting on my face a breeze. That’s a bird’s eye view above. I start in the center with antioxidant cream, sunscreen, zit spot cream (as needed), foundation and blush.

Then moving to the outer pockets and circling counterclockwise from the left, I have my eye shadow choices, eyebrow pencil, lip liner, lipstick choices, eyeliner choices, lash curler and mascara.

Here's a photo of some of the products laid out so you can see them. On the left is my current eye shadow "wardrobe". I’m currently into soft muted shades and want options to go with any outfit or mood.

In the photo are a gold case of Estee Lauder Pure Color (powder) EyeShadows, the Precious Metals Illuminance cream eye shadow palette by Revlon and several tubes of Avon ColorTrend squeeze eye shadows.

At the bottom of the photo are two mascaras: L’Oreal Telescopic (not too fond of this one - it’s a bit clumpy) and; Avon Daring Curves (love it!).

In the center is my precious jar of Peter Thomas Roth Mega Rich Intensive Anti-Aging Crème and next to that is ScarZone scar and acne cream for the occasional zit. It contains salicylic acid which is better for (dry) aging skin than benzoyl peroxide.

Above the PTR and ScarZone are five shades of Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lipcolor. I absolutely love this last-all-day non-drying glossy formula.

The black case of blush is so old I can’t read the label anymore. LOL. I love my squat little blush brush but can’t tell the brand on that either.

Finally, lined up toward the right are: a tube of Tri-Aktiline Instant Deep Wrinkle Filler (newly purchased - not sure on this one yet); Olay Touch of Sun UVA/UVB moisturizer with a touch of sunless tanner (love it); Diorskin Sculpt Line-smoothing Lifting Makeup SPF 20; and Your Best Face Skincare Correct (fabulous anti-aging eye area formula though a bit pricey).
