Kinerase

Is Kinerase Kinetin a Unique Proprietary Ingredient?

In short, no. Kinetin is a synonym for furfuryladenine, a plant-based, non-irritating potent antioxidant (ranked fifth most

effective by the American Academy of Dermatology).

Some suggest it also triggers other anti-aging mechanisms in the cell.

The very popular anti-aging skin care line, Kinerase, based its branding strategy on its firm belief in the effectiveness of Kinetin.

Fortunately they don’t stop there. I took a close look at Kinerase C6 Peptide Intensive Treatment and was quite impressed.

The company claims its peptide technology is more advanced than that of StriVectin-SD “plus has the added benefit of vitamins C & E, green tea extract and Kinetin to achieve remarkable results!”

The only peptide in Kinerase C6 is Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, which is not even found in StriVectin-SD.

Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 blocks transmission of nerve signals which cause facial muscles to contract. Although non-toxic, the effect is similar to that of Botox but less pronounced.

Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 is available in DDF Wrinkle Relax; GreatSkin BTX Double Action Gel; and Clinical Deep Crease. These would be better points of comparison.

Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 is not "more advanced" than the peptides found in Strivectin-SD, simply different. The Kinerase marketers seem to be comparing apples with oranges.

Another curious remark in the company’s ads is: “C6 Peptide Intensive Treatment is a powerful treatment that contains no moisture, so it is important to follow up with cream or lotion for maximum benefits.”

When I look at the C6 ingredient list, I find the two most powerful Natural Moisturizing Factors currently known: Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid) and Diazolidinyl Urea; combined with very effective emollients (Sweet Almond Oil and Safflower Seed Oil) required to make a complete moisturizer.

My conclusion: excellent product; confusing advertising.
