Mix Your Own EGF Skin Care Product

Is Mix Your Own Cost Effective?

Is it a good idea to mix EGF into other skincare products?

I saw that someone had posted a question in regards to Can EGF Regrow Severely Damaged Skin.

I read the reply that ReVivé offers EGF creams but at a high cost.

I know of a company that offers EGF at a much better price. Here is their website: [Deleted for reasons which will become obvious]

You may want to check it out because it is the same product offered at a much better price, which could help a lot more people who can not afford it otherwise.

Thank you,

Autumn

Thank you for writing. I did check out the website and have two reservations:

  • I'm not sure whether the site provides full ingredient lists; and
  • Mixing other chemicals into creams or lotions you buy separately is a bad idea in my opinion.

Full Ingredient List

I personally will only buy skincare products after reviewing the full ingredient lists. If I'm shopping online and a company doesn't provide that information on its website, I simply look elsewhere.

If the product is truly nothing more than "purified EGF" in one vial and "purified aqueous solution" in another, what else is in the solution? A solution is a homogeneous mixture of two or more substances.

If it's only purified water and not a solution, is the seller simply buying the EGF directly from a chemical company and repackaging it?

If yes, is it cosmetic grade and under what conditions is it repackaged?

Mix Your Own Skin Creams

People have mixed their own skin creams for thousands of years. In fact that's how some of today cosmetic company giants got started - in somebody's kitchen or basement.

However there have been a lot of scientific leaps in skincare since those days.

Cosmetic formulations and standards have improved dramatically. Formulas are precise and have been tested for both safety and effectiveness.

The products are compounded in controlled and sanitary conditions. The compounds are (or should be) stabilized and pH correct.

If consumers want to take advantage of cosmeceutical advances and the latest anti-aging ingredients, mixing their own skin creams at home just doesn't make sense to me.

Affordable and Effective EGF Skin Creams

In my article on EGF Skin Care Products, I recommend Mychelle Deep Repair Cream as a less expensive alternative to ReVivé.

I suspect that it will also be less expensive than buying the two-part EGF product you found and adding it to creams you buy separately.
