Preventive AntiAging Skin Care
Start Your AntiAging Skin Care Regime While You're Young
I am 30 years old and don't have wrinkles yet.
Maybe the only area I am concerned with is sometimes baggy eyes and sometimes dark circles. I have combination skin and had some acne problems.
Currently I am using Retin-A Micro for my acne problems and I tell you it's great (my face is clean and I like it a lot).
I decided to start using Kinerase C8 Peptide Intensive Treatment as a preventive measure and I bought La Prairie - Cellular Eye Contour Cream for my eyes.
I have heard a lot of great info about those products and I just need your opinion or maybe if you know something better?
I know there a lot of antiaging skin care products but I'd like your professional input?
Thank you.

Your routine sounds quite good. You're wise to start the anti-aging skin care battle before you show visible signs of aging. Since you've got the acne under control, it appears you have only one other specific skin problem to address: the dark circles and bagginess around the eyes.
You say this occurs "sometimes". Is this only when your body has been stressed, for example by illness or a late night of partying? Or is this a genetic predisposition? Do your older female relatives have dark eye circles? If yes, they're probably genetic but you can slow their development.
Such darkening is due to loss of elasticity in the capillaries just below the skin's surface. When these capillaries lose their ability to contract with each pulsation, they simply stay distended and create the dark circles you see.
"Spider veins" or telangiecstasias are another manifestation of capillary rigidity and typically show up around the nostrils and on the legs.
Other than that, the key word for you at age 30 is "prevention".
Be sure to protect your skin from the sun's damaging UV rays. Here is information about Sun Screens.
Use antioxidants to prevent oxidative damage from other causes. Learn about AntiOxidant Skin Care.
Keep your skin hydrated with long-lasting moisturizers. Moisture held in the skin actually supports the skin matrix, preventing lines from settling in. Moisturizers are discussed here.
Evaluating the Skin Care Products You Currently Use
Kinerase C8 Peptide Intensive Treatment covers the bases as a night cream: excellent antiaging skin care and antioxidant ingredients including vitamin C, vitamin E and green tea extract; and the two best moisturizers currently known (hyaluronic acid and urea). In addition you are making a preemptive strike against lines and wrinkles since Kinerase C6 has acetyl hexapeptide-8 and Kinetin which have been shown to stimulate growth of collagen and elastin.
La Prairie - Cellular Eye Contour Cream is an excellent antiaging skin care product and eye cream which contains moisturizers and antioxidants to target the fine lines that develop so easily on the delicate skin of the eye area. It does not have specific ingredients to reverse dark circles.
Recommendations for Your Skin Care Regime
The most important step missing in your antiaging skin care routine is sun protection. This is especially important since you are using Retin A Micro. Retin A products make your skin more sensitive to sun damage. You need at least an SPF of 15.
Since you are happy with the Kinerase night cream, why not try Kinerase Day with SPF 15
If you have decided that your dark eye circles are due to a genetic predisposition, I suggest you switch your eye cream from La Prairie Cellular Eye Contour Cream to La Prairie AntiAging Eye Cream . In addition to the same fine antiaging skin care ingredients found in the La Prairie Cellular cream, the Eye Cream combats inflammation that causes puffiness and under eye dark circles.
Thank you for your response! I actually forgot to mention that I am using Neutrogena SPF 30 moisturizer every day before I leave my house. Regarding my dark circles: I don't have them all the time so maybe it's only when I am tired.
So I actually was thinking maybe to change from La Prairie eye cream to Kinerase eye cream and that way I will be using the same line. What do you think and which eye cream would you recommend for my eyes from the Kinerase line? Do you think Kinerase is the best or you can suggest something better?
Thank you very much!

La Prairie is a classic antiaging skin care line containing very high quality natural moisturizers to support the skin matrix and a high dose of antioxidants to fight off oxidative damage.
Its formulas are tried and true. Many of its customers have used the products for years and wouldn't dream of trying anything else.
In your case, there are two reasons why you might want to switch to a Kinerase eye cream.
Skin care experts recommend that you use well-coordinated products in your skin care routine. You want to avoid overdosing on certain ingredients, like exfoliants or skin lightening agents.
The easiest way to coordinate your routine is to use products from the same line.
The second reason you may want to try a Kinerase eye cream is that Kinerase contains a leading-edge antiaging skin care ingredient in addition to excellent moisturizers and antioxidants like you find in La Prairie.
Kinetin, the unique ingredient in Kinerase products, is a synthetic plant growth factor (chemically known as N-6 furfuryladenine). This substance actually retards the aging of plant cells and in vitro human skin fibroblasts.
Fibroblasts are cells found in connective tissue. They promote wound healing and antiaging skin care by manufacturing collagen and other macromolecules.
I recommend you start with a combination of Kinerase Lotion and Intensive Eye Cream. If you notice dark circles forming or appearing more frequently, you should switch to Kinerase Undereye Rescue which has specific ingredients to reduce puffiness and under eye circles associated with aging, stress, and the environment.
Or perhaps have it on hand for those occasions when you need it.
The added ingredients in Undereye Rescue are Eyeseryl Tetrapeptide to help alleviate the appearance of under eye circles, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and Aloe Vera to help soothe the skin.
