I have to admit, I’ve experienced the same confusion. Product ads definitely do not help.

Most manufacturers don’t really want you to pull back the curtain and see that their wizard (cream) has the same ingredients as that of the competition.

And then there are the so-called “reviews from actual users” that you find all over the Internet. How can you be sure these “actual users” actually use the product?

Maybe they are manufacturers’ reps trying to hype the brands they sell.

Maybe they just like to see their words in print.
