I have like 8 backups of this cleanser hoarded away. I go through one tube a month because this is the ONLY cleanser I use on my oily, acne prone skin - it smoothes my skin, reduces clogged pores, lightens dark spots and pigmentation (like from acne scars), and overall makes my skin glow. The combination of AHA and BHA is very effective but in a low enough concentration to not dry out your skin or cause peeling. I love this cleanser and it's dirt cheap too.

I happened upon this product by accident -- I tried it while staying at a friend's house. That was more than 5 years ago, and though I sometimes "experiment" with other cleansers, I make sure I always have a tube of Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser in my bathroom. My skin is sensitive and somewhat dry, yet surprisingly, this cleanser leaves my skin feeling smooth and supple, not dry, tight or flaky. Also, one tube lasts an amazingly long time -- a small amount of product is all you need. Be sure to apply moisturizer afterwards for optimal results; use one with SPF 15 or higher if going outside. I prefer Neutrogena's Pore Refining Cream or Olay Complete.

I tried this product instead of the invisibly even foam cleanser. Simply because it is bigger tube therefore cheaper and I would like to refine my pores. I also noticed that the products of Neutrogena with alpha hydroxy really clear my skin. Wow, I was not disappointed. In fact this cleanser removed my make up really fast and made my face feel so soft and smooth. I just started using it so I don't know about the pore refining results yet. But so far I have not broken out and it does not dry out my skin as other cleansers can do. I will continue using it knowing that when it comes to Neutrogena products it takes a while to see results.

This has been my cleanser for 4 years now. I have tried other cleansers and was not satisfied. I'm 42, but my skin texture is as smooth as when I was in my 20's. My pores are minimized and my skin is never flaky; this product really exfoliates well. I also think it has helped prevent wrinkles although it is not advertised as a wrinkle reducer.

Did nothing to reduce the size of my pores, or improve my skin's appearance. This is an average cleanser that is paraben-free. Do not get this into your eyes-it stings! I don't think there is enough glycolic acid or salicylic acid in here to really do anything. Try Aqua Glycolic cleansers or Alpha Hydrox body cleanser for better results.

I really like this product, and am on my third bottle. I usually use it in the morning (in the evening I use a gentle, soap-free cleanser to calm my skin). I'm not sure whether it made my pores smaller, but it makes my face very smooth and primed for lotions and makeup. No other product seems to get rid of the roughness of my skin, especially around the nose area, like this product. I tried other stuff for a bit, and always go back to this.

This stuff is actually very good; you just need to know how it works to get the best results. It doesn't happen overnight, but after long term use (several weeks to months), I found it worked very effectively. At first you might experience skin drying or pimples getting more reddish or worse. That's because the AHA is working! After using for a while, you'll see the problem skin areas are faded. My pores are visibly much smaller and my complexion much smoother... visibly and by touch. Just be aware that all products contain AHA can be irritating to the eyes, so don't get it too close. Remember to rinse it with cold water, apply a moisturizer afterward, and wear a sunscreen if needed! It works wonders for me, I won't let myself run out.

I'm on my 3rd purchase! I don't use this to cleanse my oily, sensitive, troubled skin of makeup. I only use it in the a.m. shower to remove the overnight oil buildup - the alpha/beta hydroxy and exfoliation work well with my skin type. I used a similar Joey New York product prior, and this is much more affordable.

What a bad product. I have somewhat oily skin but no acne. After I used this product for couple of days, I had the first breakout in my life. At the age 22. It also irritated my eyes, and made my skin very thin and dry.

After I started using this product, I noticed my forehead began developing teeny, tiny pimples--so tiny they're not really noticeable unless one looks, but definitely not a pleasant feeling. Initially I wasn't sure what the cause was, but then I switched back to my Ponds face wash and the acne has pretty much cleared up. Do not recommend this product. Also, for some reason it never rinses off completely, and always irritates my eyes.

Use daily. Wet face and squeeze cleanser into hands. Apply to face and massage gently, avoiding contact with eyes. Rinse thoroughly. If you experience dryness or irritation, use less frequently.
